The reorganization and functional redevelopment of the entire Château de Vincennes site, and the modernization of the Defense Archives, represent a unique opportunity to develop new scenarios, new narratives and a new cultural offer for the public, in order to enhance and promote the role of the Ministry of Defense and its Archives. 

This is a real opportunity for the Ministry of Defense and its archives to reach out to the general public, to promote its professions and to raise awareness of the exceptional, historical and living dimension of its archives - living in terms of the way we read the past, but also living in terms of the way we write the present. 

A project of this kind is always the fruit of an encounter with a site, its history, its architecture and, of course, its heritage, narrative, cultural, educational and functional issues.
