The Art Mill Museum is Qatar's future international museum of modern and contemporary art, to be developed by Qatar Museums in Doha.
Scheduled to open in 2030, the museum will transform the site of a former industrial flour mill on the Corniche, in conjunction with the existing Museum of Islamic Art and the Qatar National Museum. In 2016, an international architectural competition awarded the architectural project to the Chilean studio ELEMENTAL, and VOGT Landscape Architects.
The Art Mill Museum will house exceptional collections of great diversity. A pioneering institution in the non-Western world, it will represent modern and contemporary art from all regions of the globe, engaging local and international audiences through multiple narratives of art history. The 80,000m2 site will also include a creative village.
The Studio will act as museum design consultant for all areas of the future international museum complex dedicated to modern and contemporary art and its cultural quarter, and as museographer for the permanent galleries.
