For DAG New Delhi - Mumbai - New York (former Delhi Art Gallery) in collaboration with Archeological Survey of India (ASI), Studio Adrien Gardere entirely designed Drishyakala Art Museum: a unique 2500m2 museum set in the heart of UNESCO World Heritage site: Delhi Red Fort Barrack no. 4.
For its opening, Drishyakala Art Museum explores the development of Indian modern art from the 18th century onwards, displaying an incredible array of over 400 artworks from DAG collection, by India’s leading artists through four unique exhibitions: Thomas and William Daniells’ colonial landscapes and aquatints; Popular prints; Portraits; and finally, India’s National Treasure Artists.
