"When Science Speaks Arabic" is an exhibition initiated by Danièle Wozny and the French Center for Culture and Cooperation in Cairo (CFCC), and under the scientific direction of Mohamed Abdel-Wahab Galal, which took place at the Islamic Art Museum of Cairo in Egypt.
Its aim is to recall the key role of Arab-Muslim civilization in the development of sciences between the 7th and 15th centuries and the importance of the Arabic language at that time which was the common language of all scholars, astronomers, mathematicians, geographers, doctors, philosophers, from Baghdad to Samarkand, from Granada to Cairo, from Damascus to Jaipur. It is the work of these scientists that will allow the "scientific revolution" that took place in Europe during the Renaissance.
The scenography plays with a set of partitions made of wooden Mashrabiya designed by the Studio and custom made in Egypt, allowing the organization of the space around the seven themes of the exhibition: to observe, to measure, to calculate, to experiment, to heal, to build and to train.
This exhibition became later an itinerant exhibition throughout the world and in France.
