" Once the scenography of the Adrien Gardère studio is completed, the Datazone exhibition by Ph. Chancel appears to me in its Warburg’s dimension.
It is Mnemosyne moved into a contemporary geopolitics, I think of the introduction to Georges Didi-Hubermann's article "Sampling chaos": "We could rightly consider Aby Warburg's Mnemosyne atlas as a tool to collect or "sample", by interposed images, the great chaos of history. In short, with the black plates of the atlas dotted with figures of all kinds, it would be a question of creating intelligibility plans capable of making certain "cuts of chaos" to constitute a kind of archaeology or "cultural geology" aimed at making the historical immanence of the images sensitive. And as by rebounds or ricochets, it would finally be a question of bursting out new concepts, new ways of thinking about social and cultural temporality."(ETPH n° 27, mai 2011)"
