The installation "Ogi no mai / Fanfare japonaise" - created for the Compton Verney Art Gallery as part of the exhibition Fabric: Touch and Identity - is the seventh collaboration between Adrien Gardère and Japanese textile designer Reiko Sudo - Artistic Director of NUNO Inc., internationally recognized as one of the the world's most innovative textile companies.
Inspired by traditional Japanese fans and the Seigaiha pattern - literally "wave of the blue sea" - the installation is composed of 211 fans of natural fabrics mounted in a gradation of blues and immerses the visitor in an immersive experience.
