Taking place in the heart of Doha at QM Gallery Al Riwaq, Studio Adrien Gardère designed the exhibition prefiguring the future Lusail Museum developed by architects Herzog & de Meuron.

The exhibition features an important Orientalist collection of paintings, sculptures, decorative arts and photographs from Antiquity to the present day. The scenography unfolds two vast open spaces that enter into dialogue with successive, more intimate and colourful rooms.

Counterpoints, interplay of views and transversality between the works have guided the design to affirm the ideas of exchange and encounters between civilisations. The spatial and radiating distribution of the artefacts offers multiple points of view, thus inviting visitors to develop their own reading of the exhibition, and ultimately of human relations across time and space.
