Studio Adrien Gardère

On the occasion of the renovation of the Flour Mill warehouse site in Doha, Studio Adrien Gardère has been entrusted with two exhibitions that will prefigure the future Art Mill museum, one held on the Flour Mill warehouse site itself while the other will take place in a traditional house in the heart of the Al Najada district.

The exhibition at Flour Mill warehouse intends to present the architectural project designed by the Chilean architectural firm Elemental, led by Alejandro Aravena (Pritzker Prize 2016) as well as the landscape approach of the Swiss architect Günther Vogt while telling the story of the site and its unique positioning in the future cultural district of Doha through six commissions of contemporary artists on the subject of Flour Mill warehouse.

This "contemporary archaeology", bringing together local and international artists, is materialized around works of a diverse nature that resonate with the activity of the site; today industrial and tomorrow cultural.
